I designed a cabinet around the world’s thinnest stone.

I saw it on TikTok…and it blew my mind…backlit translucent stone—it looked insane. I had no idea what it was, or how to use it. The included instructions left me with more questions. But one thing was clear - if I could figure it out, this could make one seriously epic cabinet. Shopcat Jerry wasn’t so sure., but I had to try. So, I designed a wall-mounted walnut cabinet—simple form, bold statement. Just one problem: curved work is always a nightmare. Thin laminations. Multiple bending forms. Tight tolerances. And of course, my builds come with the usual chaos: patching dumb mistakes, a full-blown existential crisis mid-glue-u, and a phone-a-friend just to settle the design debate. And just when I thought I had the materials figured out…I didn’t. BUT, the hardest builds usually pay off the most. So… did it work?
